KT-PPT0 Pulsed Plasma Thruster was developed as a proof-of-concept experimental thruster. Gaseous CO2 was used as fuel and the thruster operated with a 2kV voltage difference between electrodes.
Without a sufficient external ionizer-igniter stage, a reliable operation was not be achieved. Testing was considered failed and the development efforts were focused on KT-PPT1 thruster.
